Mariah Carey

Here we have a lady who is the quintessential ‘diva’, so it’s only fitting that her closet is as glamorous as she. Mariah’s extensive closet in her Manhattan apartment is filled with her clothes arranged perfectly by colour, material and event. Still, the closet is not big enough to store all her 1,000 pairs of shoes, which fills another adjoining closet and other external storage spaces. Mariah says, “If someone else ever bought [the apartment], she’d have to be a total diva!”Also, did we mention that the closet is also specially climate controlled?

 Nanette Lepore

Fashion designer Nanette Lepore’s New York apartment contains her own lavish dressing room, beautified by both clothing and decor. The space is adorned with mirrored furniture, a glass chandelier, a Chinese art rug and a velvet chaise where her little poodle can be seen sitting. Her vintage items occupy one end of the dressing room, while her own designs fill the other.

Carrie Bradshaw

Okay, so we know this was just SJP’s wardrobe in the Sex and the City film. But all the other celebrity wardrobes still look this unreal anyway! We just love Carrie’s old, quainter closet in her single-gal apartment, and her bigger and brighter one above when she marries Big. Click here to read the real-life story of a woman who had her husband build a replicate SATC closet for her. Lucky lady!

Olivia Wilde

The smoking-hot star recently renovated the sitting room and guest room of her Californian house with the help of her decorator godmother Laurie Frank. The pair refurbished the two rooms to create one large walk-in-wardrobe and office, featuring polished cedar walls, an Italian plush rug, a designer black glass chandelier and the focal piece, an unrestored 19th century vanity from the South of France. We just love the unique, antique feel to Olivia’s wardrobe.

Kimora Lee Simmons

The very bling designer of Baby Phat clothing has decked out her ultra-glamorous two room wardrobe with funky leopard print, marble pillars, vibrant colours, plasma televisions and even a mini-bar. She says: “I wanted my closet to look like a boutique.” Though her ’boutique’ stores about 500 pairs of jeans and 35 custom Hermès Birkin bags, Kimora keeps most of her clothes in other closets throughout her New Jersey home. To manage her abundance of clothes and plan her outfits, she keeps photographs of all closet’s contents in her computer.

 Eva Longoria Parker

Eva Longoria Parker’s master closet stretches for an amazing 133-square-feet in her L.A. home! Though she says her style is very casual – owning over 50 pairs of jeans and ugg boots – she says her weakness is her designer heel and bag collection. Her favourite pieces include her very rare Hermès hot-pink crocodile Birkin bag and her Christian Louboutin espadrille wedges.

Do you have a ridiculously lavish wardrobe? If you don’t (chances are you don’t) we at Her Fashion Box would love to know which of our celebrity picks you dream of!
